Sometimes the poison of loneliness is so overwhelming that you don't think you can take it any longer.
You feel like surely, it's not supposed to be this bad.
Surely it cannot get worse.
And most importantly, a part of you strongly feels that you don't deserve it.
Maybe you've become adept at avoiding loneliness—with distractions, filler, habituation, and by chasing the next thing.
It can be momentarily pleasant to fill the hole, as there are endless possibilities as to how to do that. Food, purchases, trips, entertainment, or being with people who can only engage with you on the surface.
You may be constantly chasing this momentary bliss day in and day out, burning out your dopamine receptors.
No wonder you are devastated and crushed when you go to bed.
You've burned the simplicity and purity out of your life.
'Just to feel something' is the order of the day, rather than the uncomfortable journey to get through to your real self.
The hive mind beckons you constantly to conform and to join in the parade.
You feel like you have nowhere else you belong, so you give in.
But the self-betrayal is creeping in.
The guilt gets heavier with time.
The loneliness is somehow still there. And it's louder than ever.
And there is a limit.
At one point you just feel like collapsing—but there is no one to catch you.
And you realize, usually with a flat annoyance and grief—that YOU are there to catch you.
The collective is not equipped to save you, and it never promised to truly do so.
All it promised is that you will have somewhere to be lonely together.
And the real work actually begins when you are brave enough to be lonely and not reach out for the false hope.
It's the moment you start to grow the hope through your own heart.
You realize the guilt of joining the false promise was coming from a good place. It knew the promise was empty, so it kept this depth of feeling alive so you could pull yourself back out.
Now, we are going to use this guilt to recover.
Your authentic life is right there in the trenches of what you left behind.
Your truth lies right in the middle of that loneliness.
The world gives you cut-outs and not true meaning.
The only way to discover this meaning is through feeling it out for yourself.
I can never show you your path. No one can.
Your cave is yours to discover.
All I can do is hand you my torch, my batteries, my jacket.
Most importantly, I can give you my hope, my faith, my knowledge that if you persist—the flower will bloom in your cave.
The ashes of your false self will give rise to the courage of your authentic self.
You will see the emptiness of what the hive mind promised and realize that you are stripped of excuses.
You will soon start to recognize the depth of the valley of your authentic experience.
You will see how much you can share, how much fruit you can grow, how much truly nourishing depth you can experience.
Not only will you become your own beacon, but a beacon for others.
These are not easy times.
But let me remind you that when you really lower your frantic ego demands, the true will surfaces. And the spirit of your being shows up with its endless bounty.
To those who exercise courage—more courage is given.
For those who demand more of themselves—more opportunities arise.
To whom much is given, much is tested.
The lonelier the heart gets, the sharper its discernment becomes, and the better it is able to recognize THE REAL THING.
And isn't that what you came here for?
Aren't you tired of the false promises and the abyss of material goods and superficial relationships?
Then get in.
We have our hearts to water and our dreams to grow.
I promise you this doesn't end in nothingness.
It's just blurry at first, but then you will learn to see in the dark.
Not only that, you will learn to shine in it, and your light will show others the way.
Your cave will turn into your sanctuary.
Your loneliness will transform into a loving home.
I'll see you in there,
Knowhere
